Meet Champa, a 37-year-old working elephant at one of Jaipur’s most popular tourist sites. In 2014, an abscess was discovered on her back and it was already 2 months old. Luckily, our partner Humane Society International (HSI) was there to connect her with a veterinarian who could give her much-needed antibiotics. After four long months of treatment, Champa returned to her owner fully healed. Without HSI’s guidance, there’s no telling where she would be today.

6. Mango

Mango was bald, scrawny and covered in sores when he was found in Nepal. His rescuers weren’t sure how he would react to a stranger, but were surprised when he greeted them with a wagging tail. Though on the outside he looked on the brink of death, inside he was a perky, brave little dog…so why not give him the chance he deserved? And that’s exactly what Kathmandu Animal Treatment Centre did. Their dedicated treatment cured him of his mange — and probably saved his life.

7. Molly

When Molly was picked up off the streets of Oklahoma last year, she was skin and bone. Without the donations from GreaterGood.org’s Rescue Bank program, Molly’s foster family couldn’t have afforded the care she needed. In the ensuing weeks, Molly started gaining weight. Her coat went from sparse and dingy to full and shiny, and her foster parents worked diligently to help her trust humans again. Molly now runs and plays in the yard, and at the end of last year, she was adopted into a loving forever home!

$13 helped save Molly’s life. That’s what it cost to provide 144 pounds of donated food through Rescue Bank. You can change the life of an animal in need, just like Molly!
