Kumacho & his siblings were dumped in the streets when they were babies. When he was rescued and taken to the shelter, it was discovered he had a birth defect in the heart – which results in serious, life-threatening changes in the way that the heart pumps blood through his body.
If not treated, Kumacho’s condition will lead to heart failure within his first year. However, with surgery he can live a long, healthy and happy a life.
